The Information Technology and Communications Department manages and maintains the City's information technology infrastructure. Information Technology is the term used for all of the computer related technology used by the City of Eden. It encompasses desktop and laptop computer systems, file and application servers, data storage, local and wide area networking, radio communications, and print services.

It is the responsibility of the Information Technology Department to ensure that all of our technology functions normally and works together to ensure that City employees have the technology tools they need to better serve the citizens of Eden. This responsibility involves performing routine maintenance on the City's computer systems, fixing problems that may arise with those systems, and planning for the upgrade and growth of our computer systems to ensure that the City continues to improve on the technology used to better serve our citizens.
